  1. “…Right the wrongs. End the tyranny. Restore the throne. Protect the forest. Introduce folk dancing. Demand a four-day workweek and health care for Saxons and Normans.”
And don’t forget to not be too hard on yourself if you fall short of some of your goals.

    1. Good question, Steve! I hadn’t thought about that. I don’t think it has to be a minimum number so much as hitting the right ones. If I don’t turn 52 this year, that would be really, really bad. If I don’t treat Mrs C right, or Be Tom, the year is a total waste. But if I don’t acquire a new skill, read 20 books, learn to use the multi-cooker, or end up ever being kind to the president, the year can still be a damn good one. So, as long as I can hit on the right promises, I don’t necessarily have to keep all of them to consider 2020 a success. 😉

  2. Nice list, maybe I should make my own version of this. So far, mine has just been to be more committed to my writing and to make something good happen with it, I’m off to a great start. Other things, like exercise…not so much. 😉

  3. Oooooohhh, I’m WAY less insecure about not beong able to do pushups either.
Cool blog! Even I have a slightly whack habit referring to myself in 3rd person!
Tryna figure out where the freaking follow button is though…

    1. Haha! Thank you, girrrrrl! That’s a lot of r’s. Can I call you Sci for short?

I can do 20 pushups, anytime. I’ve won a few bets by claiming that. When I was in my 20s, and well into my 30s, I could win that bet with the number 50. Used to wow the crowd. And I’m not freakishly strong or anything; I’d lose that bet with a single pull-up.

So it’s not that I can’t do them, it’s just that I can, and it’s always easier to start doing them regularly “tomorrow.” 😉

      1. Uh oh…
Guess I’m the only one stuck on three-and-a-half pushups…
        Yep! Sci works!
See, I was planning on the name Science Blogger, or Science Girl, or The Science Blogger, but those names were all taken, so I just bunged in a few extra r’s so that WordPress would FINALLY accept my blog!
